Dessert — Brownies

Bay of Islands, New Zealand, 2009


  • 2 oz. Unsweetened Chocolate
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 cup granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup white Flour
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped Nuts
  • 6 oz. semi-sweet Chocolate Chips


  1. Melt Butter and Chocolate in double boiler for 1-1/2 minutes in the microwave, and allow to cool.
  2. Mix together Sugar and Eggs.
  3. Add cooled Chocolate and Butter to the Egg mixture.
  4. Add Flour, Vanilla, Nuts and Chocolate Chips.
  5. Stir just to combine.
  6. Put into a buttered pan.
  7. Bake in a preheated 175° C (350° F) oven for 30 minutes.
